SHARED LIVING HOMES
PARCA has four affordable shared independent living residences located in attractive and well-maintained homes in convenient and safe residential neighborhoods.
Shared living residences provide much-needed accessible and affordable housing for people with developmental disabilities. Our residents create an extended family with their housemates and their families, in a lovely home setting they can afford. Rent is set at 1/3 of their annual income.
ALAMEDA HOUSE
Alameda House is a beautiful five-bedroom ranch-style house in Redwood City that is designed for shared independent living for five adults with developmental disabilities.
In these residences, clients receive individualized independent living skills training in order to learn and improve skills in: Personal care tasks and budget management
Cleaning, safety and health care
Meal planning, cooking and nutrition
Transportation logistics
Employment readiness and career planning
Shopping, budgeting, and money management
Shared living and socialization skills
RAJI HOUSE
Raji House is an attractive five bedroom shared independent living home in Burlingame. It was recently updated and remodeled for shared living for five adults with developmental disabilities.
SAN MATEO CO-HOUSING HOMES
These two remodeled homes are a cooperative effort between PARCA, AbilityPath, and the Peninsula Healthcare District. It includes two attractive and well-appointed five bedroom homes that are across a courtyard from each other. They are conveniently located in San Mateo.
Each home provides shared independent living for five residents.
