Meet Devon
Devon is a friendly, cheerful young man who has lived independently in his own apartment since 2002. As part of PARCA’s Community Living Options (CLO) program, Devon receives Independent Living Skills (ILS) services from an experienced PARCA ILS counselor who guides and supports him toward reaching his goals and fostering his independence.

Always challenging himself, Devon has worked hard to improve his money counting skills and reading comprehension and recently finished reading both Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry Finn. He also lost over forty pounds and has kept the weight off through healthy eating and regular exercise.
Devon keeps his apartment clean and takes great care of his four pets. A few years ago, he took initiative and independently found a job at Lucky’s grocery store where he is a model employee. For all his great progress and achievements over the past few years, Devon was presented last spring, with a PARCA Client Achievement Award.
